What we're looking for
As a Junior Data Engineer you will work directly with the the Director of Geospatial and own data engineering for the soul of the system. You will have the opportunity to be a critical contributor to a first-of-its-kind system enabling the energy transition at scale and solve challenging engineering problems in the process.
Responsibilities
- Clean, standardize, explore, and catalogue public and proprietary datasets before they enter an automated ingestion pipeline
- Build on a proprietary join system by creating unique keys for disparate datasets
- Refine and improve the data ingestion and analysis pipeline for vector, raster, and real-time geospatial data
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience building and shipping complex data pipelines in an enterprise setting
- Demonstrated experience working with messy SQL querying, data standardization, and schema design
- Personable and excited to work closely with customers in natural resources industries

- Demonstrated interest in energy development, land use, mineral exploration or similar topics
- Past experience with government data sources (BLM, EPA, USFS, DOE, NOAA, BOEM, etc.)

- $100K-130K annual salary
